Senior Portrait Road Trip, Day Five: New York City

Our final destination site for the trip was New York City. I'd never been to NYC, never really had a desire to go. But after visiting, would love to go back! Wasn't really what I expected.
This was our longest day of photography. We headed out mid morning and didn't return to our hotel room until sometime before mid night.

Washington DC....trolley loaded and ready to head to New York City!
Someone bit into their morning pastry, and it sort of had an odd texture. Turning it over, there was a piece of wax paper on the bottom...lol.

Rest stops along the interstate had a good choice of foods.
Lajunta and Delisa, checking out clothing for the day and going over the agenda.
 We are off to NYC!
A city bus picked us up about a block from our hotel room, in Secaucus, NJ, dropping us off at a subway terminal in NYC.

Delisa buying passes for the day on the subway.
Subway wasn't as scary as I had feared.
 On a subway car.
Kimberlie striking a pose on the subway car.
We had a great time with the whole gang.
Above and below, entrance to the Staten Island Ferry.

 The ferry arrives.

Our first sighting of the Statue of Liberty.

 A mom-and-daughter moment.

Time to duck into the bathroom for clothing change.
These were the best peaches I'd ever tasted! Found them here, and at a road-side stand in Pennsylvania. They called them "donut peaches". Very sweet!

Kimberlie with the Merrill Lynch bull. It was a very popular photo spot!
Didn't go in this store, called, "Clothing Bargins for Millionaires".

The famous New York Stock Exchange.
Must have had an angel protecting us. I was walking around NYC with thousands of dollars of cameras and lenses, and Kimberlie posing in front of the NY Stock Exchanged, with two $100 bills.
....and Delisa with two $100 bills.

 Ground Zero in the background.
Across the street from Ground Zero.

Friendly fellow, just had to do a photo of his t-shirt.
Guess this is a Muslim fast food stand.

Looks like a job I'd enjoy, delivering bread on a 3-wheel bike!

Above and below, inside the Trump Tower.

Visited with this young lady for awhile. She was in the US, working for the summer. She was from one of the old Soviet Union countries.
Not a statue, but a person in a costume. Guess I was supposed to give them a tip for taking a photo, but I didn't.
Central Park, not what I expected. You are walking down the city street, and all of a sudden you cross the road and it looks like you are in the country!

 Snack time.

 Delisa has good navigation skills.
"Jimmy Choo Shoes"....was surprised Delisa didn't want to take an hour or so break here.

Above and several below....photos in the Times Square area.

Waiting for a table at Planet Hollywood.

What did I say about these gals liking photos with men in uniforms?
Didn't take any photos on our trip down to Canal Street, sort of afraid to take the camera out. Put on my best, "Don't mess with me, I might be packin" look. Here we are, a group self-portrait, waiting for the bus to take us back to the hotel.
